Sunrise Waitlist Opening

The Housing Authority of the County of Santa Cruz will open a site based waiting list for Project Based Voucher rental assistance units at Sunrise Senior Apartments located at 580 Westside Blvd., in Hollister.  Sunrise Senior Apartments owned and managed by Community Housing Improvement Systems and Planning Association, Inc. (CHISPA) for occupancy by low income seniors with a head of household or spouse who is at least 62 years of age or older.  Applications received during the initial two-week period beginning October 10, 2022 through October 24, 2022 will be included in a random sort lottery and applicants will be provided with their sequence number.  Thereafter applications will continue to be accepted and applicants placed on the waitlist based on date application is received, i.e. date of placement.

Pre-applications for the Sunrise Senior Apartments waiting list will be available beginning October 10, 2022. If you as the head of household or your spouse is age 62 or older, and you are interested in residing Sunrise Senior Apartments, complete a Sunrise Senior Apartments pre-application. Pre-applications for the waiting list will be available:

To be added to the Sunrise Senior Apartments waiting list, return a complete pre-application to the Housing Authority between October 10, 2022 and 5 pm October 24, 2022. Pre-applications must be received by – not postmarked by – 5pm on October TBD will be included in the initial random sort, thereafter we will continue to receive applications for placement on the waitlist after the random sort.  You can return the pre-application:

  • by mail to 2160 41st Ave., Capitola 95010
  • by FAX to (831) 469-3712
  • drop off in the Housing Authority lobby at 2160 41st Ave., Capitola 95010 during office hours, Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • drop off after hours using our exterior Drop Box located to the left of the Housing Authority entrance.

All pre-applications received during the initial two week period October 10, 2022 – October 24, 2022 will be assigned a random sequence number from a computer. There is no advantage for submitting this pre-application early.

La Autoridad de Vivienda del Condado de Santa Cruz abrirá una lista de espera para asistencia de renta por sitio para los Comprobantes de Asistencia Basados en Proyectos para unidades en Sunrise Senior Apartments ubicado en el 580 Westside Blvd., en Hollister.  Sunrise Senior Apartments pertenece y es administrado por Community Housing Improvement Systems and Planning Association, Inc. (CHISPA por su sigla en inglés) para ser ocupados por personas de bajos ingresos de la tercera edad y la persona principal del hogar o su cónyuge tengan al menos 62 años de edad. Las solicitudes recibidas durante el período inicial de dos semanas del 10 de octubre, 2022, al 24 de octubre 2022 se incluirán en un sorteo de lotería al azar y a los solicitantes se les dará su número de secuencia. Después de esas dos semanas, se seguiran aceptando solicitudes pero los solicitantes serán agregados a la lista de espera en base a la fecha en que se reciba la solicitud, o sea esa será la fecha de ubicación.

Las Pre-solicitudes para la lista de espera de Sunrise Senior Apartments estarán disponibles a partir del 10 de octubre, 2022.  Si Ud. como cabeza de la familia, o su cónyuge, tiene al menos 62 años, y tiene interés en residir en Sunrise Senior Apartments, complete una pre-solicitud para Sunrise Senior Apartments.  Las pre-solicitudes para la lista de espera estarán disponibles en:

Para ser agregado a la lista de espera de Sunrise Senior Apartments, envíe una pre-solicitud completada a la Autoridad de Vivienda entre el 10 de octubre, 2022 y antes de las 5 pm del 24 de octubre, 2022.

 Las pre-solicitudes deberán ser recibidas – no solamente franqueadas- antes de las 5 pm del día 24 de octubre para ser incluidas en el sorteo inicial al azar y después de esas dos semanas se seguiran aceptando solicitudes pero los solicitantes serán agregados a la lista de espera en base a la fecha en que se reciba la solicitud

  • Entregarla en la entrada de la Autoridad de Vivienda en el 2160 41st Ave., Capitola 95010 durante el horario de oficina, de lunes- jueves de 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Entregarla después del horario de oficina en el buzón exterior de envíos ubicado a la izquierda de la entrada de la Autoridad de Vivienda.

A todas las pre-solicitudes recibidas durante el período inicial de dos semanas de octubre 10, 2022 a octubre 24, 2022 se les asignará un número de una secuencia al azar por computadora. No tiene ninguna ventaja enviar la pre-solicitud antes de tiempo.
